How to set the computer
to disconnect after 30 minutes of non-use

Why disconnect after 30 minutes?

1. Because you really shouldn't let your computer on the internet all night unattended. There are new, strange viruses out there all the time. Someday some jerk is going to invent a virus that can query the ports of your computer, and automatically upload a virus.
Yes, a firewall helps, as long as its not obsolete. (1USA provides Free firewall software to its subscribers.)

2. If you're not using the computer, then please don't hog a 1USA phone line that another subscriber could be using.
Other ISPs have 10 minute or 20 minute Timeouts. 1USA has a 60 minute timeout, but 30 minutes is more than enough in most cases.
